Good food, great atmosphere.
Recently been there for the 2nd time and scared. Service not so friendly anymore, no delicious selection of cakes and food. Not a Federweißer of the wine but still very good. The location is very appealing.
A grandma style hotel. They don’t speak any english, but the service is kind enough. Restaurant is running on a small menu due to corona. The wine quality is good, well balanced, even though at very cheap price. A confusing fact is that one glass of wine is 250cc, which is a bit too much.
Nice rustic restaurant great food serve admirable restaurant was full and the lady all alone. Wines very tasty
Wanted to have a drink and a bite to eat there yesterday. We arrived there at the same time as another couple and were unfortunately not treated in a friendly manner. If you don't need guests, you just have to leave it. Anyway, we went and went to the nice cafe on the same street.
We saw, drank and bought the most beautiful Mozeco Riesling dry white and sweet white wine. I saw the inheritance and persistence of a family! ! ! ! !
We stayed for a long weekend in the "Old Castle", a guest house that was lovingly designed as a castle ruin with a restaurant and wine bar. Very idyllic location on the Moselle, with a very nice beer garden. Family run business, everyone very nice and friendly. The rooms functional and equipped with everything you need. The restarant offers culinary delights with a touch of the Middle Ages, very tasty. A must is the wine cellar, delicious from the grape.
Very nice facility. Owner family a little overwhelmed, but do everything possible. Delicious wines
Very nice "castle" garden and a great atmosphere, the tarte flambée delicious and the wine good! Unfortunately, the lady of the house was overwhelmed with the guests and seemed tense and irritable, possibly because of Corona, she was the only staff, therefore only three stars. With a smile it would have been five. But you are still not to be missed.
The parsley on the meal was sandy. When the waitress asked what should I do? Bad service.
Great staff helped immediately Charger was there 3 times a day later, thank you
Very nice place to stay, enjoy food and wine. The owner and his parents have been creating a family atmosphere for years and the in-house wine is very, very tasty.
Room tidy. Breakfast delicious and rich. In the evening, unfortunately, only one waitress who often seemed overwhelmed. The wine (that's why we were here), as expected, delicious. We have plenty of stock up for goodbye. Thank you Josef
Very bad no service left after fifteen minutes
Very nice restaurant with nice peace and quiet and good grape juice and good wine spritzer.
Very nice ambience, only a shame that when the weather is great, only one service cannot do justice to the rush!
Not to be recommended, I friendly welcome, according to the motto "Eat as you want here" We went again
Very nice old castle. Local beef steak tastes great. Breakfast includes everything you need. The service is nice but a little harsh. Rustic family business with the heart for wine and castle.
After ten days of work I wanted to relax for four days. The old castle has a nice beer garden. The first evening had a great time. But on the second evening we came out of the guest house and wanted to sit outside. There was a small table by the fountain .We wanted to add chairs and enjoy the evening. Then the waitress came and hissed at us in front of all the guests. They are not served there. They wanted us to sit in the dark corner next to the grill. All of the guests saw that we were our own hotel guests and how we were treated. We are Every night we went somewhere else where we were received politely. The two ladies who made breakfast were very nice. Room was not cleaned one day. The rooms are also very old. The view was from two roofs. I would not book here anymore.
Great wine. Very nice people. Tour of the Knights' Hall, just great when children's eyes are shiny
Extremely friendly staff and the boar was excellent. Highly recommended!
We were with a group of 15 people and had a lot of fun. After our arrival, we were first allowed to visit the wine cellar for wine tasting. Afterwards, we tried several bottles of wine in the sunny courtyard and also tried the Flammkuchen. The Rivaner tasted us the best. The rooms were rustic but clean and tidy. In the evening we were at the knight's meal. Again, the food was delicious. Lard with Bescheider Bauernbrot, pate, Rinderkraftbrühe, a super fresh smoked salmon trout, tender suckling pig with bacon potatoes and cake at the end. Met to the welcome and a schnapps at the end were included in the price. The atmosphere was terrific, so the event lasted until after midnight. The breakfast the next morning was also good. We lacked nothing. A few bottles of the delicious wine had to go with it. All in all two wonderful days. Happy again.
Nice, traditional and cosy ambience with nice decoration. The food is regional and the traditional as well, with comparatively big portions at reasonable prices. The owners run a winery, so a variety of quite delicious wines is offered. For certain dates, a knights' feast is offered for larger groups. One can feast like the knights used to in the middle ages. Overall a friendly, efficient, reasonably priced restaurant with a familial atmosphere.
Great historical spot. Great stop for bikers
